| How the need was identified |
Through recent school
evaluation process, the need
to provide access to PCs to support the inclusion
policy was identified. Also an opportunity to
support learning within the community and the
school was identified with the transfer of the running
of the community wing from the City Council to the
school. This is the next stage in the development of
the ICT curriculum identified as 'good' by Ofsted. |
| Aims of the project |
- To provide opportunity for parents/ carers and their
children to have access to multimedia PCs with
internet facilities including the use of a full range of
software to support and enhance the curriculum.

| How the project operates |
- The project allows parents and their children access
to computer and internet facilities enabling them to
learn and develop skills together. It offers training
opportunities and guidance to accelerate learning
and actively encourages parents to support their
children's learning.

| How is the programme innovative |
- Offers families access to a brand new ICT suite. ICT
Technician and Inclusion Governor monitor use of
internet and software to support learning. Targets
specific groups within the local community.
